Boys Basketball: Stevenson downs Lake Zurich

Led by Michael Fleming’s 23 points, the Stevenson boys basketball team claimed a 56-48 road win over Lake Zurich on Wednesday night.
The Patriots (14-9, 5-5) took control of this NSC Lake contest early, when they jumped out to a 20-5 first-quarter advantage.
Jalen Brunson finished with 11 points for Stevenson, while Colby Cashaw added 10.
The game’s leading scorer was senior Mirko Grcic, who went 6-for-7 at the foul line to end up with 24 points for the Bears (14-12, 5-5). He was the lone LZ player in double figures.
Fleming’s big night included five three-pointers.
