Krasavage receives BMO Harris Bank honor

BOYS HOCKEY — Lake Zurich’s Jason Krasavage has been selected as a BMO Harris Bank Player of the Month.
Krasavage plays right wing for the Lake Zurich High School team.
Off the ice, Krasavage has been the Gold Key winner and Silver Key winner in the Midwest Region Scholastic Art Awards for the past two years. A solid honors student, he regularly volunteers to serve at the Emmaus House Community Dinner. He also is an altar server at his church. And he’s a graduate of the Young Entrepreneurs Academy who was selected as an Illinois finalist.
Krasavage was recognized at a Blackhawks game.
Eclipse fares extremely well in ECNL Showcase
TRAVEL SOCCER — Near perfect.
The Eclipse Soccer Club’s four Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) turned is stellar performances at the recent Seminole County ECNL Winter Showcase held in Sanford, Fla. Eclipse finished 10-0-2 in 12 high-level games.
Angela Waddle (Lake Forest) was a key scorer for the U-16s, which finished 2-0-1. Waddle scored twice in a 2-1 win over the Dallas Texans. Teammate Carrie Madden (Deer Park) tallied the lone goal in a 1-1 draw with Freestate Alliance.
In U-18s action, Eclipse also finished 2-0-1. In a 4-0 win over McLean YSA (Va.), Abigayle Gearing (Libertyville), Lauren Hall (Hawthorn Woods) and Carly Manson (Vernon Hills) scored goals.
Eclipse’s U-15s and U-17s had a combined 6-0 record.
The next ECNL national event will be held in San Antonio on Feb. 24-25. The National Championship will take place on June 25-30 at the Waukegan Sports Park.
LZ’s Eder, Lutz set
to play at next level
BASEBALL — Two of Lake Zurich’s top players have made their college choices.
Sean Eder, a power pitcher and power hitter, will play at Ball State.
Mike Lutz, who is ranked No. 27 by PBR, will pitch at Purdue.
