Lake Zurich hires new village administrator

Lake Zurich will welcome Jason T. Slowinski as Village Administrator, effective May 7.

On March 29, Lake Zurich Village President Suzanne Branding announced the selection of Slowinski, who currently serves as interim City Manager in Des Plaines, where he has been employed since Sept. 2008. Prior to working in Des Plaines, Slowinski worked three years as assistant village administrator in River Forest. He holds a Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. .

Slowinski was chosen from a pool of 45 applicants and replaces Bob Vitas, who left the village in December 2011. Assistant Village Administrator Roy Witherow has been serving as interim Village Administrator.
