Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods and Kildeer police blotter for Feb. 14, 2013

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods and Kildeer police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Lake Zurich
DUI
Charles R. Murphy, 19, of 122 Rose Terrace, Barrington, was arrested Sunday and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more and underage consumption of alcohol. He also was cited for driving without headlights. Murphy was taken into custody near the intersection of Clover Hill Lane and Rand Road. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a March 4 court date in Waukegan.
TRAFFIC
Charles M. Kocmond, 23, of 43 Marbridge Court, North Barrington, was arrested Saturday and charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license. Kocmond was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 12 and Bailey Lane. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued an April 5 court date in Mundelein.
Luis F. Carrera, 20, of 4728 Arbor Drive, Rolling Meadows, was arrested Friday and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license. He also was cited for driving with only one headlamp. Carrera was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 12 and Cuba Road. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date pending.
DRUGS
Fitzgerald C. Harris, 21, of 4121 Bonhill Drive, No. A, Arlington Heights, was arrested Feb. 6 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Harris was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 12 and Bailey Lane. He was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond and issued a March 1 court date in Mundelein.
WARRANT
Jody L. Wood, 46, of 240 Whiteny Road, No. 22B, Lake Zurich, was arrested Feb. 4 on a theft warrant. Wood was taken into custody on the 200 block of Mohawk Trail. Wood was turned over to the Lake County Jail after she was unable to post bond.
DAMAGE
Police investigated a report of criminal damage Feb. 4 in which a window of a building on the 200 block of Oakwood Road was broken. Damage reports were not provided.
THEFT
Police investigated a report of retail theft Feb. 4 in which two men allegedly stole iPads and iPods from Walmart, 820 S. Rand Road. Loss reports were not provided.
Kildeer
BURGLARY
Kildeer police investigated a report of burglary Jan. 27. A vehicle was broken into and an iPad, keys and book of checks were taken. Losses were estimated at $800.
