Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods and Kildeer police blotter for Jan. 3, 2013

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods and Kildeer police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Lake Zurich

TRAFFIC

Alexis Martinez, 30, of 350 Main St., No. 9, Wauconda, was arrested Dec. 26 and charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license and an obstructed windshield. Martinez was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 12 and Miller Road. She was released on a $150 personal recognizance bond and issued a Jan. 28 court date in Mundelein.

Veronica G. M. Micek, 19, of 126 Elizabeth Drive, No. 32, Addison, was arrested Dec. 24 and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license. Micek was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 12 and Cuba Road. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Feb. 1 court date in Mundelein.

Shannon L. Yohe, 27, of 431 E. Seegers Road, No. 104, Arlington Heights, was arrested Dec. 24 and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving without valid registration. Yohe was taken into custody on the 900 block of Rand Road. Yohe was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Feb. 1 court date in Mundelein.

Joshua I. Zarate, 20, of 1122 Washington Ave., Wauconda, was arrested Dec. 22 and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Zarate was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 12 and Honey Lake Road. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Feb. 1 court date in Mundelein.

David Medina, of 1708 Lakeview Drive, Wheeling, was arrested Dec. 22 and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license and illegal lane use. Medina was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 12 and Cuba Road. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Feb. 1 court date in Mundelein.

DUI

Edgar Molina, 50, of 708 Fieldstone Circle, Lake Zurich, was arrested Dec. 25 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more. He also was cited for speeding 27 miles per hour over the posted limit after he was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 12 and North Old Rand Road. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Jan. 28 court date in Waukegan.

Donald J. McDade, 51, of 9 Spring St., No. G, Cary, was arrested Dec. 23 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He also was cited for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and illegal lane use after he was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 22 and Cortland Drive. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Jan. 28 court date in Waukegan.

Christine M. Sasso, 42, of 1565 Coral Reef Way, Lake Zurich, was arrested Dec. 22 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. She also was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol, endangering the life of a child and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Sasso was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 12 and Cuba Road. She was released on a $3,0 00 personal recognizance bond and issued a Feb. 14 court date in Waukegan.

BURGLARY

Police investigated three reports of burglary, two to residences and one to a vehicle, both on the 200 block of Whitney Road. The two residential burglaries occurred on Dec. 25 and 27 and involved removal of money and prescription medicine. The vehicular burglary occurred Dec. 26 and several pairs of gloves were stolen. In total, losses were estimated at $200.

DAMAGE

Officers also responded to three reports of criminal damage to property between Dec. 25 and Dec. 26. Two reports involved damage to a vehicle; one on the 200 block of Telser Road and the second on the 800 block of Interlaken Drive. The third instance involved damage to Christmas decorations at a residence on the 1200 block of William Drive. Total loss was estimated at $1,075.

Hawthorn Woods

TRAFFIC

Misael Abarca, 20, of 931 S. Lake St., No. 3A, Mundelein, was arrested Dec. 19 and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, driving without proof of insurance and disobeying a traffic control device. Abarca was taken into custody near the intersection of North Midlothian Road and Cripple Creek Drive. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and issued a Jan. 24 court date in Mundelein.

Kildeer

TRAFFIC

Pawel Krajewski, 26, 3019 N. Linder Ave., Chicago, was arrested Dec. 19 and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and speeding. Krajewski was taken into custody near the intersection of Middleton Drive and Long Grove Road. He was released on a $150 cash, 10 percent of bond, and issued a Jan. 24 court date in Mundelein.

BUrGlary

Kildeer Police responded to a burglary report Dec. 14, after power tools were taken from the inside of a vehicle. Estimated loss was unknown.
