2. Ragtime pianist Reginald Robinson performs at 8 p.m. Aug. 18 as part of the Sanfilippo Foundation 2012 Summer Concert Series at the Sanfilippo Estate in Barrington Hills. Robinson, a composer, recording artist and lecturer, will play the Sanfilippo 1927 Knabe Concert Grand in an evening of classic and original ragtime, while highlighting the history of ragtime. Doors to the Place de la Musique open at 6:30 p.m. and guests can enjoy the Sanfilippo Collection of antique music machines and phonographs before the concert.
