Folksinger Ruth Moody will perform at the Elgin Community College Arts Center, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin, at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, and Saturday, Feb. 25. Best known for her work as a founding member of the internationally renowned trio The Wailin’ Jennys, Moody has come into her own right as a solo artist. She plays guitar, banjo, accordion, piano and bodhrán in addition to singing and writing songs. Tickets at $20 are available online at tickets.elgin.edu, at the ECC box office in the arts center or by phone at (847) 622-0300.
