POLICE BLOTTER: Money stolen from Rand Road business

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Lake Zurich

DUI

Vickey D. Minor, 30, 5933 N. Kilbourn Ave., Chicago, was arrested Sunday and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Minor was taken into custody on the 400 block of Whitney Road. Minor was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Sept. 9 court date in Waukegan.

BURGLARY

Electronic items were taken from a vehicle on the 500 block of West Route 22 on Friday. Losses were estimated at $525.

THEFT

Joseph E. Nichols, 18, 870 George Towne Lane, Barrington, was arrested Aug. 14 and charged with retail theft at Target, 555 S. Rand Road. He was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond and issued an Oct. 3 court date in Mundelein.

Money was taken from a business on the 100 block of South Rand Road on Aug. 11. Losses were estimated at between $300 and $1,500.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

A mirror of a car was broken on the 200 block of Pine Tree Row on Aug. 12. Damage estimates were not provided by police.
