Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods and Kildeer police blotter for Oct. 22 - Oct. 29, 2012

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods and Kildeer police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Lake Zurich

TRAFFIC

Ramiro Martinez-Mota, 37, of 981 Tulip Way, Palatine, was charged Saturday with driving on a revoked driver’s license and driving without a rear registration light. Martinez-Mota was taken into custody near the intersection of South Rand Road and June Terrace. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Dec. 7 court date in Mundelein.

Paul T. Proano, 28, 1445 Sage Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged Oct. 24 with driving on a suspended driver’s license and speeding. Proano was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 12 and South Old Rand Road. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a court date in Mundelein.

DUI

Chris A. Arbisi, 26, 7403 Woodward Ave., No. 207, Woodridge, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more, failing to document an address change and illegal lane use. Arbisi was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 12 and Cuba Road. Arbisi was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Nov. 26 court date in Waukegan.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

A mailbox was damaged Saturday on the 1300 block of Lea lane. Damage is estimated at $50.

A mailbox was damaged Saturday on the 300 block of Victor Lane. Damage is estimated at $50.

An officer reported Oct. 23 that a door’s window was broken on the 30 block of West Main Street. Damage estimates were not provided.

A lock on a storage container was found damaged Oct. 23 on the 100 block of North Old Rand Road. Damage estimates were not provided.

Six complainants on the 100 block of East Harbor Drive reported Oct. 21 that their mailboxes were damaged. Total damage is estimated at $300.

Three complainants on the 1100 block of Stanton Road reported Oct. 21 that their mailboxes were damaged. Total damage was estimated at $150. Another mailbox was damaged on the 300 block of Kim Trail.

BURGLARY

A necklace and money was stolen Oct. 24 from a residence on the 100 block of Jonathan Road. Loss estimates were not provided.

A computer and a cup of coins was stolen from an unlocked vehicle between Oct. 19 and 20 while it was parked on the 700 block of Columbine Court. Loss estimates were not provided.

A navigation system was stolen Oct. 21 from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked on the 1000 block of Holly Circle. Loss is estimated at $250.

THEFT

Police reported Saturday that a client refused to pay for services and left a business on the 100 block of South Rand Road. Loss is estimated at $50.

TRESPASS

A vehicle was entered Oct. 21 while it was parked on the 800 block of Interlaken Drive. No losses were reported.

Hawthorn Woods

TRAFFIC

Jose A. Marquez-Murguia, 23, of 26284 E. Route 83, Mundelein, was charged Oct. 20 with driving without a valid driver’s license, driving without proof of insurance and speeding. Marquez-Murguia was taken into custody near the intersection of West Indian Creek and Blackhawk roads. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and issued a Nov. 29 court date in Mundelein.

Kildeer

DUI

Courtney G. Stewart, 28, of Lake in the Hills, was charged Oct. 23 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more, transportation of open liquor, driving on expired registration and driving with improper lighting. Stewart was taken into custody near the intersection of Main Street and Corporate Drive. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Nov. 16 court date in Waukegan.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

A vehicle was dented and keyed Oct. 20 while it was parked in a parking lot on the 20000 block of Rand Road. Damage estimates were not provided.

TRAFFIC

A 16-year-old Hawthorn Woods male was charged Oct. 19 with violating his driving hours and illegal lane use. The juvenile was taken into custody near the intersection of Quentin Road and West Highway 22. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and issued a Nov. 29 court date in Mundelein.
